The exterior impression of Kuuk would be that you are arriving at the mansion of some sort of Spanish colonial nobility, it doesn't look like a restaurant, which dramatically enhances the dining experience.
I could write multiple pages about the interior, but I just say that it is elegant and sophisticated. The ambiance created by the music selection and decor gives the older building a modern feel. The cutlery and glass quality was superb.
The food is exquisite and new - especially for the pumpkin appetizer and the honeycomb desert. I went with the grilled octopus for dinner and it was done to perfection with immaculate presentation.
The best part was the service. Our server, Angel was a library of knowledge on the menu and especially the wine selection. I told him to just "Select wines that compliment the dish" and it was done with such great execution. His timing and attentiveness was perfect. Truly an invaluable employee to an organization.
Also, there is a surprise at the end but I'm not going to ruin it here. Eat at Kuuk!

A very classy place.. The building itself is amazing... The service was just amazing and the bar is fantastic. Highly recommend this place.. Good job Kuuk.

Attentive service. Unusual menu selections. Nice atmosphere. Didn't eat here, just visited, noting on menu I'd want.

We visited KUUK during our visit too Merida in December 2015. It was by far the best restaurant experience we've ever had. We highly recommend it!

Absolutely amazing!! A+++++. The tasting menu is the ONLY way to go. I went there with my boyfriend last week and we ordered the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Compared to the NYC prices we are used to paying, this was close to a third of that but with all of the service and quality that we expect from a high end establishment. Each course was better than the last, desserts were decadent and the wine pairings were creative and whimsical. It was so magical, it felt like he was about to propose...THAT GOOD! The only thing better than the food was the kind hostess and wonderful server that took care of us. Never did I have to even push a dish away from me, they are so attentive and they didn't take my food before I was finished either. Just absolute perfection and I night I will never forget, not for any special occasion, but because I felt like family. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Merida!
