We used a coupon which gave us 2 entrees for the price of one, up to $19. All their entrees were around $28. But a discount is a discount. The food was decent, but not amazing. This was rather disappointing, because the decor was amazing, the details in the plates are delightful and the service was spot on. It is in a perfect location as well. I feel this restaurant is not living up to it's potential. There were 2 items on the menu typically French, the rest were "safe" westcoast varieties. The food was just meh. Not amazing, just average. I had the coq a vin, and my friend had the Bouillabaisse.

Perfect décor and Parisian bistro menu. Decent ambience. Seems like a great night out, right? Should be, except the food here is just plain mediocre. The appetizers were unartful. Pickles, pate, and cold cuts from the local grocery store deli. The mains were bland and ordinary. One of us had a mediocre steak with cold fries, one an Osso Bucco that had no flavor, another the driest, most tasteless coq au vin imaginable. Two stars because the desserts were actually pretty good. By all means, drop in for desert, but skip the food. Too bad, Vancouver needs more places that serve decent classic French food.

Great atmosphere with friendly staff. The French onion soup was a bit bland for my liking, and the steak that I had was so so. The presentation of my meals weren't put together well, so I left them out of the pictures. Below is a pic of the desserts.

Atomosphere was great, waiter attentive, friendly. We were there for late lunch. I had the sole. It was seasoned well and swimming in butter. I do think it could really use some more flavour, something to balance the dish. It just all tasted bland. Fries were not fresh. Seemed to me a little uninspiring for such a lovely place.
I would like to try again at dinner, see if it makes a difference.
