Very pleasant stay. Wonderful staff too. Had a couple of pints in the bar and bar staff good too. Breakast was also very nice and good choices too. One gripe though the small oblong plates i really disliked.

Being able to pay £10 for a 5pm check out was wonderful. cant think of any other hotels that offer to 5pm.

Each year on our trip from the Scottish Border to Plymouth to see the fireworks in august, we stop off in my old college town of Bristol.
We have, over the years, stayed in various types of accommodation and for the past few years stayed at the Ibis Bristol.
We have never been disappointed with our choice, the hotel been clean and staffed by high quality people - all who are knowledgeable and polite.
Having checked in on line everything was ready for us - even through we arrived early.
The room is well furnished and good value for money.
Breakfast was excellent with the variously platters being continually topped up or changed.
Rapid check out worked well, with the only requirement on our pat being to drop the room keys in a box.

Arrived late but check-in was quick...clean & comfortable room. Helpful Reception staff. Breakfast was good (except for the vile scrambled eggs...think they were powdered). Being able to get a hot food when we got back at midnight after the Balloon Fiesta was great..thought we'd have to in search of a greasy takeaway. Definitely would stay again & book earlier in the hopes of a better price.

I have previously stayed at this hotel on several occasions with family and was always pleased with the service received. However, on this occasion I walked into reception to find that the reception desk had been replaced with a table with laptops on. I found this off putting and a little unclear as to where to go to check in. It also made the reception area look untidy. Check in wasn't as smooth as it could have been as all of the equipment needed was no longer in one place and the guy checking us in had to leave the "reception desk" to create our key cards.

Whilst checking in I wanted to make sure that the "Half-Board" Dinner and Breakfast package I had booked was showing on my booking. It was confirmed it was. Later in the evening I came down for dinner and asked where we needed to go (the restaurant area did not look very open) as we had booked dinner. The guy that first spoke to us passed us over to a colleague who then did not know what we were talking about. We were then informed that they did not usually offer that package (despite it being online), they had no chef working that night and there was a limited bar menu as it was the reception staff who had to make the food. I did ask for a refund which was processed quickly - however being informed of this at check-in would have been helpful.

Finally at breakfast the following morning - I understood they were busy and understaffed, however the waitress' method of cleaning the tables was questionable, wiping all the mess onto the floor/chairs with such force that it landed on the seat next to me.

The rooms however are still of the same, good standard.

The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was comfortable with a really good shower. It was very quiet when I went to bed so nothing to disturb. Breakfast great and plentiful, good coffee which is very important. Only one thing which could have been better was for it to be easier to regulate the room temperature difficult to get just right.Lots of good places to eat nearby and short walk to our meeting venue.
