I have two small children, so we called ahead for reservations, at 630. The chick told me that I wpould get a text when our table was open. Instead of hauling the kids inside to wait, I waited in the parking lot. 7pm rolls around and I call to check on the table. They put me on a 20 minute hold.. I walk inside to ask, i had never been checked in. The kids running the front looked at me like I was stupid and told me "nobody answers phone. Sorry isn't us, we will put you on the list" needless to say, I walked out.

We had a great waitress and was greeted good. When we cashed our ticket out, I forgot my jacket inside. I was refused entry at 9:40 pm on a Thursday night. The First Lady came to the locked front door and laughed at me when I asked to get my jacket. Then the same employee got the manager, which refused me entry as well like I was a child. The manager then used profanity towards me and insisted I wasn’t coming in to get my jacket. This made my good experience turn bad instantly. She then laughed at me when I said I’ll call the manager the next day. She then laughed again saying I was wasting my time trying to talk the general manager Jeremy. She then goes on to say to not ever come back. Well, that wasn’t needed because I won’t ever go to this chili’s again unless they fire this so called manager. I’m sure corporate wouldn’t be to happy with this manager locking the doors down 20-25 minutes before actual closing. People like this is what’s wrong with people in management that shouldn’t be. I will be calling corporate tomorrow.

PS: if my child wasn’t present during her foul language, she would have got a ear full from me.

I came up from Santa Fe for my birthday and was not treated good anywhere we went. For some reason everyone we encountered in Carlsbad was rude. Same with chili’s horrible service, nasty chili, then they did nothing for my birthday. Thanks for making me feel insignificant on what was supposed to be a special celebration for me.

The three stars are only because of the food. There is poor customer service. I observed several guest standing waiting to get seated without getting greeted. Even the bartender who saw the guests did not greet them. This place needs better customer service training

Service here isn't good, very slow and the food isn't great either. Very disappointed, took over 30 minutes to get my food after offering it. Definitely don't recommend this place nor will I be coming back.
